🇳🇪 Niger has officially accused the "French Macron regime" of involvement in the failed coup attempt that took place last week in the capital, Niamey.

In an official statement, it was stated that members of the Special Reconnaissance Battalion, part of the Special Operations Command, carried out the attack as part of a "vast conspiracy" led by France, aimed at undermining Niger's sovereignty and control over its natural resources.

The rebels attacked the presidential palace, Base 101, and the state television station on August 28th and 29th, but were repelled by loyal forces, including the Presidential Guard, with the support of the Russian African Corps.

Niamey expressed gratitude to Russia, Algeria, and their allies in the Sahel region for their support during and after the attempted destabilization.
