Find it awfully interesting how many national folks in other sports only sound off on the WNBA in moments of controversy instead of the actual games being played
Very sad to hear the news that @BaylorWBB great Melissa Jones died. She was only 36.
Jones’ No. 5 was retired by the program after a stellar career, culminating with being named Big 12 Sportsperson of the Year in 2011.

@paulsen_smw@TylerWong65 I think some of it might depend on whether Friday evening’s games are competitive/exciting. A potential thriller would, I think, draw in more people on Sunday than a coronation
@AndrewFuery@Stuckey2 Tonight makes only the fifth time it’s happened in WBB, just FYI. Per the NCAA website, all four one seeds made the W Final Four in 1989, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2026.
@BattleRedBrain@elitetakes_ I think it would make it much more likely, since expansion teams can’t get the top pick under current WNBA league rules. The expansion teams this year are picking 6th and 7th in the W draft.
BREAKING: The Connecticut Sun is being sold to the Fertitta family to bring the WNBA back to Houston, sources confirmed to ESPN
The team was sold for $300 million, sources said. Team will play final season in CT in '26 before relocation.
The Comets are back.
