The clearest mark of someone who is in love with Jesus is humility.
Pride takes many forms. It can look like thinking you’re better, but it can also look like self-loathing, victimhood, or constant introspection. All of it is still a focus on self.
That is what the enemy wants
We have been sold a false narrative in parts of the evangelical church that greater faith leads to greater comfort and wealth. Scripture and history say the opposite. Jesus was clear that faithfulness invites sacrifice, and obedience often brings persecution, not ease.
The West didn’t reject Jesus — it rebranded Him.
We’ve turned the Lion of Judah into a soft, inoffensive, hippie mascot who never confronts sin, never speaks hard truth, and never offends anyone. That Jesus doesn’t exist.
The real Jesus was strong, bold, fearless, and unapologetic.
He spoke with authority, not approval.
He flipped tables.
He rebuked corruption.
He called men to repent, deny themselves, and follow Him — not to be comfortable, but to be transformed.
Christ was not weak.
He didn’t beg for acceptance.
He didn’t silence truth to keep the peace.
The West didn’t lose Jesus — it watered Him down to justify cowardice and compromise.
If your version of Jesus never convicts you, never offends your pride, and never demands obedience — it’s not Jesus.
It’s an idol.
There is a real issue in the gap between what men want to hear and what they actually need to hear.
The starting point is you.
Are you a respectable man? Are you living with strength, and Christlike character?
There’s no end to the lies we tell ourselves when we want to justify sin.
The moment you compromise your integrity, you’ve surrendered your soul.
Evil never demands full allegiance right away, just asks for one small compromise at a time.
Too many Christians live like forgiven sinners instead of redeemed sons and daughters.
You’re not defined by your past.
You’re defined by who your Father is.
When your identity is in Christ, the enemy loses his power.
Thank God for Pete Hegseth. Our national defense is nothing to play around with. It isn’t about opportunity for all, it’s about defending our freedom. Next up, we need to restore proper qualifications for police officers and fire fighters. These are about safety and lives. No more weak, out-of-shape cops. If they can’t defend themselves, how are they supposed to defend others?

I was reading My Utmost for His Highest and looked up the devotional for the day Charlie went to Heaven. It couldn’t be more applicable for Charlie and for those who want to emulate him.
I think the core problem with American leftists, is that most of them are self loathers. And because of that, there's no foolishness they won't fall for. So, because they loathe themselves, they loathe everything of which they're a part of.
So they loathe America just because they're a part of America. They loathe their communities. They're always factioning into different groups because of that.
I grieve for Charlie, his widow, and his young children.
But we must maintain the perspective that this world is not our home. We are sojourners (1 Peter 2:11), sent here to complete the good works God prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10).
Charlie will be richly rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ. Hebrews 11 says of the martyrs that the world wasn’t worthy of them. We weren’t worthy of Charlie. He finished his mission. And got to go home.
A friend once told me: the cure for anxiety is contribution. I believe the same for depression. Depression folds you inward, trapping you in your own mind. But serving others can unlock the door and bring you outside of your struggle.
