This week was Socktober at KHS. The band won with a total of 235 socks donated! As a reward, they were given donuts from Kenton's new shop, Glazed Over. Thank you, @KentonFFA
Students competed in 3 contests this week!
- Ag Sales: team placed 4th at sub districts
- Public Speaking: Devan - 3rd in extemporaneous. Bethany - 1st in beginning prepared. Makenzie - 5th in creed. Chloe - 1st in advanced prepared.
- Ag Power: team placed 9th at districts
This fall, the Ohio FFA Foundation awarded the funds for chapters to purchase 225 FFA jackets for first-year members – the most ever in a single year.
With the generosity of @BecksHybrids, we were able to share the gift of blue with students from 80 chapters in 47 counties.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack was on campus today to announce that USDA will invest $1.2 million with CFAES to advance climate-smart agriculture technology.
Our chapter president and secretary attended the Hardin County Hall of Fame Banquet yesterday evening. These two enjoyed the night in which consisted of the induction of five honorees and recognizing their accomplishments. Congratulations to all new inductees!
Fruit arrived today and we couldn’t have done it without the gentlemen on our amazing maintenance team here at KCS. We greatly appreciate all that you do for the Kenton-OHP FFA!
Today, six of our students competed on the Advanced Parliamentary Procedure Team at the District 6 Contest. This team of six placed 6th! Great job to Chloe Anderson, Addy Modd, Jacob Taylor, Devan Dulin, Christian Rogers, and Lora Harder.
