*THE GREAT SILENCE IS NOT PEACE – it is preparation*
Why the Sudden Hush Across Biafran Social Media Should Keep Every Nigerian Awake at Night
For years, we trained ourselves to watch Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok for the next threat. We believed that if IPOB or the Eastern Security Network (ESN) planned an attack, the internet would scream it first. But the rules have changed and most of us are still refreshing our feeds like it is 2022.
Wake up.
The Directorate of State (DOS) is now fully in charge. And their most dangerous weapon is not a bullet. It is silence.
We have been playing a cat-and-mouse game where the mouse tweets its next move. That era ended the moment the DOS declared: "Our plans are not to be discussed on social media."
What you see now—the deafening quiet across Facebook groups, WhatsApp statuses, and X (Twitter) spaces, is not a sign of weakness. It is not confusion. It is not retreat.
The DOS has imposed iron discipline. Social media is no longer a command-and-control tool. It is now a propaganda echo chamber loud but empty of real intelligence. Meanwhile, real orders are moving through closed channels, human couriers, and invisible nodes that no algorithm can track.
The federal government, led by the DSS, has responded with drones, satellite surveillance, and human intelligence raids. That is commendable. But let us speak plainly:
You cannot drone what you cannot detect. And you cannot raid what you cannot predict.
As long as the DSS and military continue to rely on monitoring trending hashtags and screenshots from citizen journalists, they will always be one step behind. The DOS knows this. That is why they have gone quiet.
Our security architecture must now abandon the lazy habit of "social media patrolling" and return to the difficult, old-fashioned work of field intelligence—HUMINT, deep penetration, local informants, and real-time ground surveillance.
Do not mistake silence for safety. The battle for the soul of the South-East has just migrated—from the keyboard to the command bunker.
That means the next wave of violence will come without a warning tweet. Without a cryptic Facebook post. Without a leaked voice note.
The answer will be simple: Because we were watching a screen while they were watching us.
This is not an alarm for panic. It is an alarm for preparation.
· Security agencies: Invest in boots on the ground, not just eyes in the sky. Your enemy has gone analog.
You must too.
Citizens: Report what you see, not what you scroll. If a neighbor suddenly hoards fuel, digs bunkers, or receives strange visitors at odd hours, speak up.
The media: Stop amplifying propaganda dressed as news. Verify. Cross-check. And stop assuming that silence means nothing is happening.
The DOS is in charge. Their plans are no longer for public consumption. That makes them more dangerous, not less.

“The North Are Playing a Political Game By Supporting Peter Obi. IPOB Belongs to the People of Biafra
In response to the interview of Kanu’s special counsel, Bar Aloy Ejimakor, where he was indirectly making reference of IPOB as a personal enterprise of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Bar Aloy Ejimakor failed to acknowledged the fact that the Indigenous People of Biafra has grown from a localized activist group into a highly organized influential global movement, a foundational truth which remains non-negotiable: IPOB does not belong to any single individual or family as it was built on the shared sacrifices of millions of Biafrans around the world.
No individual, regardless of their prominence or rhetorical influence can lay claim to have built IPOB from scratch to its global stature. The movement's international presence, infrastructure and grassroots mobilizing power are the direct results of an immense effort of the people.
Ordinary members across the globe have sustained the organization through various forms of dedication, countless members have paid the ultimate price during rallies from Onitsha headbridge, Nkpor, Igweocha, Obigbo, Aba and in other cities across Biafra land. What about the enforced disappearance of IPOB members by the Nigerian security apparatus and security crackdowns. Numerous coordinators and members have faced prolonged detentions, legal battles and physical displacement.
Let me also school Bar Aloy Ejimakor that IPOB is funded primarily by the hard-earned income, personal donations of ordinary members in the diaspora and at homeland of which he has benefited and has continued to benefit from. He should cease from referring or rather comparing IPOB as an enterprise where the CEO can hire and fire employees at will. When an organization is funded and protected by the collective will of the masses, it ceases to be personal property. Treating a liberation movement as a family estate or an individual enterprise undermines the very core of its mission.
Bar Ejimakor should have this in mind and also inform same to his principal, for any movement to maintain long-term institutional stability, its leader must respect the sacrifices of its rank and file members. IPOB's strength does not reside in a single name or lineage; it resides in the collective investment of time, resources, and lives of people dedicated to the shared vision. Those that have dedicated years of their lives, labored and bled to bring IPOB to the world stage are the true owners of the movement. IPOB belongs to the people of Biafra!
By Charles Opanwa.
Me - I know they will make this pronouncement and finally they vomited that rubbish they have been nursing and looking for ways to fabricate the story , telling people that IPOB is a family business.
It’s left for Biafrans to speak up if at anytime for the past decade that this struggle is a family or Kanu’s business enterprise.

A Direct Insult to Our Dead and Living: Ejimakor Must Apologize to Biafrans
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor’s reckless assertion that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) “begins and ends with Nnamdi Kanu” is not just wrong it is a blatant insult, a betrayal of collective sacrifice, and a direct attack on the soul of our struggle. This arrogant reduction of a mass movement into a one-man empire must be forcefully rejected by every true Biafran. It diminishes the blood of our martyrs, mocks the sacrifices of the living, and threatens to collapse a people’s revolution into a fragile personality cult.
IPOB was never born from one individual. It rose from the ashes of the 1967-1970 genocide, from decades of systemic marginalization, political slavery, and the unrelenting suffering of the Biafran nation. Nnamdi Kanu is a powerful voice and a courageous leader, no one disputes that. But to declare that the movement begins and ends with him is an outrageous lie that spits on the graves of thousands who died for this cause.
Aloy Ejimakor’s statement insults:
The fearless grassroots warriors who took bullets.
The diaspora comrades who have poured in millions in resources, advocacy, and global pressure.
The unnamed members, intellectuals, and foot soldiers who kept the fire burning before Kanu rose to prominence.
Above all, the dead, our martyrs whose blood waters the tree of freedom.
How dare anyone stand publically and proclaim that their contributions, their pain, and their deaths amount to nothing without one man? This is not loyalty. This is abomination. It is an insult to our collective will, living and dead.
As Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor has done some good work for his cilent. That is his job. But he has no right, absolutely none to redefine IPOB as a personal fiefdom. When a legal counsel begins to speak as if he owns the movement, he has crossed a dangerous line. This is not advocacy; this is arrogance.
Ejimakor’s claim is not only factually false, it is strategically suicidal. It:- Demobilizes our people by making them believe the struggle dies if Kanu is not released tomorrow.
Gifts Nigerian security forces and propagandists exactly what they want: the narrative that IPOB is just one man, easily crushed.
Deepens dangerous divisions at a time when unity is our greatest weapon.
Betrays every family that has lost a child, a brother, or a father in this fight.
It turns a powerful, organic, people owned revolution into a vulnerable one man show. We must reject it with every fiber of our being.
The Biafran struggle existed before Nnamdi Kanu. It will exist after him. Real movements are not built on individuals, they are built on ideas, on collective pain, and on unbreakable national will. History has crushed many causes that foolishly tied their destiny to one mortal man. We will not repeat that mistake.
We demand Kanu’s unconditional release not because IPOB dies without him, but because it is our right and his right as a political prisoner. But we will never accept the lie that our movement is his personal property.
To Aloy Ejimakor and anyone pushing this toxic narrative: Retract this insult immediately. Stop trying to personalize what belongs to the people. IPOB is not your client’s private company. It is the heartbeat of a nation fighting for survival.
Rise up and reject this dangerous reductionism. IPOB belongs to the living who still suffer, to the dead who paid the supreme price, and to the unborn who must inherit freedom. No lawyer, no leader, no matter how influential, has the power to own or terminate it.
This struggle is bigger than one man. It is fiercer than any detention. It is more enduring than any arrogant statement.
IPOB is the people. IPOB is the cause. IPOB will never begin or end with any single individual.
The time for silence is over. The time for aggressive pushback has come. Let every genuine Biafran voice thunder the truth , We are IPOB, not one man!
The struggle continues, stronger, wiser, and forever collective. No retreat, no surrender.
Mazi Emeka Gift
IPOB Is A Collective Heritage Of The Biafran People, Not The Private Property Of Any CEO, Leader, Or Individual
In that sense, the movement represents a shared legacy and responsibility, reflecting the aspirations and sacrifices of the wider Biafran people.
Remove the Biafran people, there will be no IPOB. Remove Kanu, there will still be IPOB

FG Has Written to Appeal Court Seeking Death Sentence for Nnamdi Kanu" — Barrister Alloy Ejimakor Confirmed to Me, Says Uwazurike
Chief Ralph Uwazurike, leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has stated in video he made that Barrister Alloy Ejimakor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, confirmed to him that the Federal Government has written to the Court of Appeal seeking to upgrade the IPOB leader’s life imprisonment sentence to a death sentence.
Uwazurike made the statement amid ongoing appeals processes following Kanu’s conviction and life sentence by the Federal High Court in Abuja in November 2025.

The Biafran War should live as an indelible lesson to every people in the contraption called Nigeria. It is the clearest record we have of exactly what the Caliphate and the international community think of you, written in blood. Actions speak louder than words, and that horrific, intentional, sustained, genocidal action must never be erased or ignored.
The Biafrans (mainly Igbo) were the first in modern times to feel it most deeply. (The indigenous Hausa felt it 220 years before — decimated, enslaved, and ground into submission by Usman dan Fodio's jihad in 1804.)
But make no mistake. The war against Biafra was not waged because of their tribe. It was waged because of the oil under their feet. It was waged because they refused to submit to the Fulani jihadis and hand over their resources and freedom to them.
Wherever a human being — or a whole tribe of them — stands in the way of what these bloodthirsty men want, they will wipe you out to take it. That is their formula. That is their religion. There is nothing else to it.
The Middle Belt is feeling it now. The rest will feel it before long if you don’t wake up.
Bokkos today is Biafra in miniature. There are valuable minerals under those villages. The Caliphate and its foreign extractive partners want the minerals. So they kill, rape, enslave, destroy and displace to clear way for the bulldozers. Then they take what they came for. Allahu Akbar.
They want more than the minerals. They want full control of Nigeria — its land, its people, its resources, its institutions, its economy, its future. Islam literally means submission. If you are not a Fulani jihadi, you are in their way – an enemy, subhuman, expendable. There are no exceptions.
Every Nigerian who does not submit to them will eventually be a Biafran.
Like the Biafrans, you will be marginalized, attacked, and killed.
Pray that when the time comes, you have the strength they demonstrated to stand and fight. Pray that, by then, the other tribes finally figure out what’s really happening and come to help you.
It is time to honor Biafrans. It is time to apologize to them. It is time to recognize that their crime was not ethnicity. Their crime was refusing to bow to the Caliphate, and the sentence was death. It always is.
Their indescribable resilience through such unimaginable horror should be honored. It should be a model for all who crave basic human rights in the face of aggressive evil.
Wake up. Stand together now, or end up like 3 million of them did in the late 1960s – cut off, killed and forgotten.

The Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (ALESP) published on May 29, 2026, in the Official Gazette of the State of São Paulo, the "*MOTION OF APPLAUSE*", No. 186, of 2026, to the people of Biafra for the commemoration of the *Day of the Heroes and Heroines of Biafra*, celebrated on May 30, as a symbol of resistance.
This historical link reinforces the humanitarian connection between Brazilians and Biafrans. It is an act that recognizes the importance of the memory of Biafra on Brazilian soil and also the strengthening of democracy, justice, and human rights.
The motion was proposed by State Representative Eduardo Suplicy and was recognized and approved by the other representatives of the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (ALESP).
This is a fundamental step to ensure that memory is never again invisible in São Paulo, recognized by the State of São Paulo through ALESP, the largest legislative body in Brazil.
