Prof. dr. Amon Murwira delivered Zimbabwe's message on reparatory and restorative justice, emphasizing the need to address the enduring legacies of slavery, colonialism, and historical injustice.
In his address, he reaffirmed Zimbabwe's commitment to Africa's common position on reparations, called for global acknowledgement of historical wrongs, and underscored that Africa's pursuit of reparatory justice is not about retribution, but justice, healing, dignity, and reconciliation.

IGAD and @UNmigration discuss the future of Migration and Climate Change Financing at the IsDB 2026 Meetings
IGAD Executive Secretary H.E. @DrWorkneh today met with the IOM Chief of Staff, H.E. @AbdikerM, on the sidelines of the IsDB meetings in Baku. Discussions centered on the nexus between migration, climate change, and development. The two parties agreed on strategic areas of cooperation, especially alternative financing models for migration and development, and regional programs to reduce the impact of climate change on migration.
