320,000 kilometers is just a number until you start travelling it. From Nairobi to Cairo to London, across the Atlantic, over the Pacific, around the world, about eight times. That's the scale of the Kenya Power network keeping homes, businesses and communities connected.

Celebrating Dr. John Ngeno: Africa's Public Sector Procurement Trailblazer of the Year
The recognition of Dr. John Ngeno as Africa's Public Sector Procurement Trailblazer of the Year at the 8th Africa Procurement & Supply Chain Conference & Awards (APSCHA 2026) in Lagos, Nigeria, transcends personal achievement. It is a powerful affirmation of procurement's growing role as a catalyst for economic transformation, sustainability, and inclusive growth across the continent.
At a time when Africa is accelerating its journey towards industrialization, energy transition, and regional integration, Dr. Ngeno continues to champion a vision that positions procurement and supply chain management at the heart of development.
As Dr. Ngeno aptly noted during the awards, "When procurement creates jobs, empowers local enterprises, supports clean mobility, and strengthens regional connectivity, it does more than deliver goods and services. It delivers prosperity."
At Kenya Power, we are proud to celebrate not only Dr. Ngeno's remarkable achievement, but also the values and vision that this recognition represents. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ngeno on this well-deserved honour and in celebrating a future where every procurement decision contributes to a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous Africa. #PamojaTwangaa
Yesterday, laughter came home to Stima Plaza. โก๐ญ
Comedian Eric Omondi paid a special visit to Kenya Power, where he handed out complimentary tickets to our staff as a heartfelt thank you for believing in him when he was starting out as a solo comedian.
The excitement was electric as staff received their tickets, shared laughs and Kodak moments, and celebrated a full-circle moment with one of Kenya's biggest comedy stars. It was a powerful reminder that every act of support can help spark an extraordinary journey.
From backing a dream to celebrating success, we're proud to have been part of Eric's story.

Last week, we were pleased to witness the launch of a new public Electric Vehicle (EV) fast-charging station by BasiGo at Rubis Sabaki, Athi River, in partnership with Rubis Energy Kenya. The EV charging station is the first of four sites set to be commissioned this month by BasiGo, with Meru, Nanyuki and Nyeri opening soon.
The expansion of charging infrastructure is a key step towards making electric mobility more accessible, reliable and practical for both public and private transport.
As Kenya's electricity distributor, Kenya Power remains committed to enabling the infrastructure that powers the country's transition to cleaner, more sustainable transport in collaboration with industry partners.
