The 10 Kenyan horticulture companies participating in @MacfrutFiera Digital Trade Fair in Rimini are looking to gain a foothold in the #Italian market.

Participating Kenyan exporters include Athi Farm Exporters Ltd, Olivado Fresh EPZ, Value Fresh Ltd, Avodemia Ltd & Biofarms Ltd.

Vert Ltd employs 85 permanent staff members and some 250 to 300 casual laborers who are employed seasonally in the factory.
On the supply base, the firm started off with less than 10 farmers, but today works with over 5,000 farmers.

Vert Ltd in Machakos specializes in horticultural produce processing & export.
According to the MD, Jane Maina, #MangoValueAddition allows the firm & its farmers to have additional revenue while also cushioning the business against over-reliance on the EU market & air transport.
