Most stories you'd read are stories of people having issues in their relationship or marriage.

It doesn't make relationship or marriage bad.

Take the lessons and apply them to your life.

My friend's aunt lives in the UK and sends money home every month for her three children. One December, she sent ₦600,000 and specifically told the eldest son:

"Share ₦200,000 to each of you. It's for Christmas."

The son called his younger brother and sister and gave them ₦100,000 each. He claimed their mother had instructed him to keep the rest for "family expenses."

The younger ones weren't happy, but they kept quiet.

A few weeks later, her aunt surprised everyone by coming to Nigeria unannounced. During dinner, she casually asked her children what they bought with the ₦200,000 she sent each of them.

The table went silent.

The daughter said, "Mummy, I got ₦100,000."

The younger brother replied, "Me too."

Her aunt slowly turned to the eldest son. He started sweating immediately.

After a long explanation that nobody believed, it turned out he had used the remaining ₦400,000 to buy a fairly used iPhone and some designer clothes.

The phone was seized and sold. The money was shared properly, and till today whenever money enters that house, her aunt sends it separately to each child's account.

If he could treat his own siblings that, he would do worse to outsiders.
