@lotmsarvin93142 Maybe they will be able to do some rework on S1 (adding more slice of life and fix the pacing) if they finish the production of the rest of the series ahead of schedule? We never know.
@DeveshsK_@lotmsarvin93142 I dont think so. I remember they stated S2 will be in 2 cours, so probably they have roughly 10 episodes (mostly) done by now. And if they really do release in 2 cours, each will be 17-19 so they can make it happen this year.
@LOTM_WORLD It is also said by the production team that there’s a possibility to release season 2 later this year (the production has been quite smooth and faster than expected), but all still being discussed within the studio.
@ybaBeulB2023@Kleingoon Remember Vol.1 is generally considered the most boring yet valuable among all 8 volumes. So things will get more and more intriguing
@jackgraves2612@ybaBeulB2023 Yeah, a lot Chinese readers say his writing do get bland and quite expository to the extent they fell sleep. It’s mainly the story and plot twists get ppl through his writing. And I find it’s a feature that near the end of his novel, his writing tends to get more abstract as well
@NoNamesSong I feel it would be so cool if they dubbed book 1 in Loenness which everyone has to read subtitles. But that would be so much work for voice actors
@Hemangbenjwal@LNhistorian S1 has 7hr worth of content, if they have 20 min episodes for season2 with presumed 32 episodes that would be 10.5 hrs. Considering vol.2 has 37 more chapters than vol.1. The pacing of adaption would still be better than S1, and that would be the worst case.
@MohammedwW50653 @LNhistorian@GloryDa31521898 I think if they could ask the Chinese voice actors to speak in Loeness would be so good, I really like the voices from every actor in Chinese dub but a fictional language would be dope.
@Mkeenae @LNhistorian As a Chinese, I can say the dub is at a balanced level of emotion. Where Klein and Dunn sounds calm most of the time cuz that’s how they were portrayed in the novel. Old Neil sounds quite vivid. And it’s not really fast but each syllable in mandarin conveys more information.
@KBeceni@Acceletor4882 I think that's probably cuz you can still hear the bit “Englishness” in the English version of Hermes, the Chinese dubber said the Chinese version Hermes is structured completely since they inspiration from many (ancient) languages but intentionally made them sounds total alien.
@Konkord099@animecorner_ac Yeah, the last volume is kinda too short to make into a full season, so making into a 2.5 hours movie would be a more reasonable adaptation and good way to wrap up this title.
@JayceVictorious@LOTM_WORLD They rumoured ep 9 and 12 are titled “Miserable Wretches” and “Gurdians” from Webnovel’s merchandise name that will be released on the same dates as these two episodes, cuz the Merch released on Jun 28th was named “The Fool”, so I guess their speculation is reasonable.
@Xuanyuan489379@LNhistorian@brownfrie Did you read the entire LOTM web novel 2400 chapters? I mean these novels are served to different types of readers.
@lowtigerr94936@LOTM_WORLD More of the major changes were made for Ep 1-3 tho since these were the most confusing parts. Like when Klein decided join Nighthawk, in the new version Dunn actually gave him the choice to choose between a civilian and a beyonder and told him the risk .
@lowtigerr94936@LOTM_WORLD “I’m pretty sure a charm with ‘weirdo/sucker’ engraved in it won’t do any good”. And When Tris stared at Klein before he got into the carriage they added “A Nighthawk!” for Tris’s internal thinking. So you can see these were originally left blank but explaned in the new version
@lowtigerr94936@LOTM_WORLD The thing is that some changes can be subtle. For example, in ep 5, when Klein went to the underground market and saw the charm with “sacred text” from Roselle. In CR version, he just says smth like “I’m pretty sure this won’t grant you luck” but in the updated version, he says
@lowtigerr94936@LOTM_WORLD The problem is they shadow changed them so ppl didn’t notice at first until new viewers mentioned. So I guess a lot LOTM fans (international) didn’t even know that. Additionally, Crunchyroll does not have the updated version so international audiences won’t know either.
@lowtigerr94936@LOTM_WORLD I watched these episodes again on WeTV and can confirm this myself, they did add and change some lines, as for sources, you can find them the chinese media (ex. Bilibili and rednote). After rewatching the updated version, I can say it is definitely more suitable for anime onlys,
