Are we cutting development expenses?
If so, we may not be getting:
1. “Penyelenggaraan infrastruktur hospital & KK kerajaan” ~RM 1.2B
2. Pusat Kanser Utara - IKN costed 690 million in 2013. So maybe ~RM 1B now?
3. Pusat Jantung Sabah
4. 13 KK baru
Boleh cover RM 3B+.
Katanya pelarasan bajet tak akan jejaskan perkhidmatan kesihatan asas. Tapi bila dengar ‘kurangkan perbelanjaan’, memang terus rasa risau sikit. Betul ke hospital, ubat dan rawatan tak terkesan? Atau nanti baru kita nampak kesannya? Sekarang pun sistem kesihatan kita slow..
@HKontrak I am all in for SPK. Don’t get me wrong.
But I believe there’s a deeper problem that SPK cannot solve. Until kita sampai tahap kebersamaan tu, jangan harap SPK will do what it is meant to do.
MMC should be our first checkpoint untuk kebersamaan. KKM-KPT level first.
@HKontrak True. Bala ni kena semua sampai la ke patient KKM juga.
With all this, I believe we are moving from “Us vs them” to “We”. We should.
Therefore, “We” should acknowledge that yg menindas or at least yg enable ecosystem penindasan tu HCW juga.
On paper, of course it sounds good.
But at the end of the day, efforts don’t count. It’s the result that matters.
I support the fight but I don’t think it’s going to make any difference. Not in the nearest future.
But what do I know? My thoughts here pun fragmented. Apatah lagi nak perbetulkan fragment negara.
Aku rasa bala KKM ni sebab selalu sgt ambik hak orang ni. Cuti, elaun, gaji etc.
Itu satu sistem tak berkat.
Masalah utama: Misaligned with MOF & JPA.
Sure. No issue.
Tapi medical fraternity kita sendiri fractured no?
1. KKM mesti ada data keperluan sebenar fasiliti at all levels no?
DG KKM dah jelaskan.
Masalah sistem kesihatan kita bukan kekurangan doktor.
Masalah sebenar: sistem yang berpecah dan tak selaras.
The Health DG has made it clear.
This is NOT a doctor shortage issue.
This is a system failure.

13. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
14. And I sincerely hope our medical faculties don’t turn into doctor factory also at the same time.
Sangatlah menghina ilmu perubatan tu sendiri bila kita paksa graduan hanya boleh jadi doktor semata.

Maybe its time we admit defeat and face the consequences.
Is it fair to provide 50% care to 100% of the population? Or is it fairer to provide 100% care to 50% of the population?
Segamat Hospital in Johor is facing a critical shortage of medical officers, with just 13 doctors covering 24-hour emergency services.
Medical officers frequently work 12- to 14-hour shifts alone, with double shifts sometimes required to cope with patient demand, reports CodeBlue.

Bak kata Bruno Mars,
“Should have bought you flowers, and held your hand~~”
Skrg orang dah tawar hati sogok dgn elaun oncall naik, bagi elaun pindah, bagi tetap dgn pencen pun orang dah tak nak.
The manpower crisis in public healthcare did not happen overnight.
The failure of the system to retain and attract doctors has caused the problem, says the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA).
“MMA views this as a serious and long-anticipated workforce crisis. When 5,000 positions are offered and only 529 are filled, it clearly shows that graduates are choosing not to enter the system. That should concern all of us,” said MMA president Datuk Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo.

Maybe la kan. Just maybe.
Why not KKM/JPA do the same thing?
Come to universities and ikat future medical grads with confirmed specialisation opportunities down the line.
Ini tak. Lepas grad kena la mengemis isi SPA bagai.

Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad says Singapore recruiters are approaching Malaysian medical students, even before they sit for their final exams, with lucrative pay and permanent jobs. He pledges to end Malaysia’s contract doctor system.

Selalu teringat pasal vincristine when talking about this.
Vincristine is extracted from pink periwinkle (C. roseus). Perfectly natural.
But we use it as chemotherapy. Cytotoxic. Literally poison.
Tapi poison tu juga yang menyelamatkan nyawa. By the nature of its cytotoxicity.
"Natural vs synthetic was never the right question"
Asas ini perlu difahami oleh ahli farmasi.
Bak kata Paracelsus; dosis sola facit venenum. The dose makes the poison.
