@MattWeaverRA Cool story, thanks! Got to go in 2023 w my dad to race. First date w my wife just up by that grassy knoll/Snake Pit in 2024! Gorgeous to see pagoda in sunset. My dad can't walk too far and they gave us a sweet ride on golf cart. Cool watching Tmez dig!π€πΊπΈπβ€οΈ
After Penske bought IMS, @JDouglas4 Boles gave Roger a facility tour. He saved the dirt track for last. Doug is great champion for dirt racing and expected to have to convince RP to keep it. Roger immediately said 'this is a proper dirt track' and asked how they could grow it.
Hopped in our NextGen 2-seater for the first time this weekend as well. Honored to have Captain Loren Jacobi along for the ride. Couldnβt ask for a more incredible experience driving around the base. πͺ
@PPistone@MattWeaverRA@TracksideAJ Interested in more on this if possible. Stock car stuff to Salem etc (and trying to drive down costs) sounded cool, guy running track now was really digging as we went to Monster Trucks there recently. Thanks for reporting on it guys. π€ππΊπΈπ
Ok @MattWeaverRA I'll be vocal. Dear @BenKennedy33 I think that Matt would make an outstanding addition to any/all media items concerning motorsports. He reminds me of reading newspaper @SPEEDSPORT on the floor as a kid and I appreciate @Motorsport covers lots of different racing.
I'm not part of any programming today but if you guys enjoyed @Motorsport and I being part of the post-race show lineup at San Diego, be vocal about it. I have a lot of ideas but need to prove there's an appetite for them.
Announcement: We are planning a #NeverLift book signing and fan appreciation day September 26th in Batesville. You can preorder at https://t.co/j7yuKBj6VW or there will be a limited number of books for sale at the event.
Bowman Gray Stadium isn't for everyone but the racing is way more dynamic and compelling than just what the social clips will ever show you. I beg everyone to watch. There's a code and race craft.
But also, I absolutely love the theatrical elements of that place too.
@ACCUSmayor Best numbers ever IMO. Blue color way cool as well. Loved watching him in ASA at Cayuga vs #72, #99, #2, #28, #43 etc. Thanks for posting. π€ππΊπΈπ¨π¦
@TheMikeBagley@SiriusXMNASCAR@AJFoytRacing, fine to be virtual races. Use Assetto Corsa free version....let him pick vehicle(s), maybe a series with dirt, open wheel, stock, something IROC like, ASA 1980s ~#72 cars....vs @TonyStewart, @MarioAndretti and @markmartin maybe? Let new kids run at same time.π€ππΊπΈ
