Thanks again to @skycron and @STARSambulance for having us be part of the new training videos! It was an honour working with the best in their fields, and great practice for our Firefighters too!
Managed to miss the rains yesterday morning so @skycron could gather awesome footage for a new @STARSambulance landing zone safety video just north of @CityofWarman. Big thanks to @WarmanFire and @RCMPSK Warman for their time, equipment and expertise to facilitate this shoot!
STARS is celebrating 10 years of saving countless lives in Saskatchewan thanks to great work of the pilots and healthcare professionals who have been supporting our province since 2012.
Our first flight was in December 1985 with the support of the Lion's Club. Today, we've flown more than 45,000 missions from six bases throughout Western Canada. Your support doesn't just make STARS possible; it makes the care we provide exceptional. #WeAreAllSTARS
This Thanksgiving we want to share how grateful we are to healthcare workers for your efforts fighting against COVID-19. This has been one of STARS’ busiest years and we’re able to provide life-saving service because of all our allies in the communities that we serve.
An outdoor memorial procession was held at our Saskatoon base in honour of Mike "Duke" Duclos, a STARS pilot and beloved member of our crew who passed away suddenly. On behalf of everyone at STARS, rest in peace, Mike - and thank you for your service. https://t.co/90jeOjykMq
On #WorldHelicopterDay, we tip our flight helmets to one of the finest engineering inventions ever. Our founder, Dr. Powell understood the potential of helicopters as modes of medical evacuation and intervention after seeing them in action in Vietnam. #WeAreAllSTARS
Today marks one year since the time-saving heliport on top of Jim Pattison Children's Hospital opened. We're grateful to our allies & partners in the chain of survival for helping us transport 283 patients to the heliport in the last year. #WeAreAllSTARS
This is a song for you, for us, for everyone...

#77 Jeff Shattler and Rush Hulk took part in #TDTreeDays today in #YXE.
Together with @TD_Canada staff and volunteers they were able to plant 300+ trees, in conjunction with their nation-wide initiative.

Last weekend, our new H145, based in #YYC, landed at the University of Alberta Hospital helipad for the first time, with a patient involved in an MVC near Ponoka. Both STAR-1 & STAR-3 responded to that scene

Congrats to our own flight paramedic Jason Trask on being named Paramedic of the Year by @PAC_Paramedic! He's also an Emerg Dept mgr in Saskatoon. Watch him talk about it at https://t.co/17WIey1Unv. He'll receive his award on Sept 20 during @PAC_Expo. @SaskHealth @RUHFoundation
When a swing set crashed down on little Breanna’s head, she suffered a traumatic head injury, and the first people to reach her knew to call STARS right away. Now she’s a healthy, active kid. Watch her story: https://t.co/ELMfxDGTHM
WATCH: What happens when a chaotic grad party goes wrong? It throws a major challenge at our medical crews. Our annual simulation competition was a crazy scenario, and it highlighted just how good our medical crews are when under pressure. Check it out at https://t.co/QR21qshsbs.
