They don't actually think that liking petite women is pedophilia.
But they know that you hate pedophiles.
They hate you and want to attack the things that you like. While also protecting the things that they like
To them, your question sounds like "Why are you shooting at your enemies but not at your allies? Hypocrite!"
@RespectElves One is something that normal men likes.
The other is something that the woke crowd likes.
This is all that there is to it.
The accusations are just attacks against your thing. They were never serious.
The don't have values, but they know you have.
You don't convince people through arguments.
The arguments that pro SKG use are unassailable.
When you are arguing, your brain is frantically looking for anything to attack with.
If the brain is looking for a good argument, and none is found, it keeps trying harder, and be more flexible.
Eventually, at a point of desperation to find a win that isn't there, it will have to strawman your opponent into a more easily assailable position.
Your brain will then have a ready-made position to attack, because you came into the argument thinking about it. It's fresh and ready.
You get this thought in your head. And with it an invisible note that this is what you got, that you are in a panic, and that any objection within your own mind against this lifeline must be shut down.
You'd be surprised how often your brain shuts down parts during arguments. And just how many obvious thoughts can temporarily just disappear for the sake of an argument.
This is how the short circuit happens.
They are called "unrealistic" as an artifact of an old era in gaming.
SJW don't have values, but they know that you have.
Back on the day, gamers cared way too much about realism.
So feminists called any pretty woman "unrealistic" to get the normie unsuspecting gamers on their side.
And it worked.
It took a whole decade for the culture to shift.
This is why they keep saying this line even now. It worked for so long that no one even remembers what gaming was like when it started.
It also has the benefit of derailing every argument.
They say "this is unrealistic" and gamers defend that the characters actually are realistic, instead of saying that realism isn't a sacred virtue, and you are allowed to make unrealistic things.
Gamers are accepting the premise of being bound by reality, but only when it comes to female characters.
They are tricked by bad faith arguments.
@tachyoncutter@revenant_MMXX Isaac is a male.
Ada and Lara are females.
This is why.
Woke has more terrible things than just insufferable girlbosses. It has layers of ruinous consequences to stories.
It started years ago. I'm happy that at least people are starting to notice.
There is an aversion from having any female get harmed. If the story needs a character to be harmed, it will be a male one.
It's only when there are female protagonists in remakes of old games that used to have gory deaths, that you notice the absence of all "violence against women in video games".
But it was there since the first Sarkisian video.
@ShitpostRock2 They're not.
They are afraid of brutal deaths of frmales.
Note the distinction.
This goes back to the "violence against women in gaming" that Sarkisian pushed a deade ago.
It started there and you're only noticing it now.
@Powdur_Virus I thought that she was doing a bit.
I thought that there was an article about "baby murderer going to jail" and she made a pun about the murderer being a baby.
@moolabands This is the "zero tolerance" idea.
Any war can end at any time if you just surrender unconditionally.
"Men, stop the gender war" = "Men, just surrender and accept the hate"
There was this joke around many tables at the 00's
Humans have no issues with Drow, because the whole surface is littered with hoards of nice Drow that want to atone for the evil of their peers. Humans have no idea what "evil" they are talking about.
Also, an evil race in the party is an opportunity for the players to show off how enlightened they are by seeing past the shallow race issues and accepting the character as an individual.
This was an issue at the 00's, too.
But also, I think that a lot of players are afraid to derail the game by starting in-party conflicts. You never know if some off-color comment in-character will turn into a multi-session ego fight that will stop the game entirely. Players tend to have their characters take things personally, and when a conflict starts, they are too focused on keeping their character's vanity to think about "how can I improv my way into our characters having a resolution?". The players might even get confused between sessions as to "why are our characters not cooperating yet?" While making no effort to slow down the escalation of grudges and violence between the PCs. Many players just don't want to go down that hole.
Also, many players just don't want to play that conflict. They aren't interested in that story of arguing over race around the table. They rather let you play your drow and suspend their disbelief than have to spend their gaming time on conflicts that aren't fun to them.
And also, we were all so conditioned that "racism bad" ans ourity spirals, that even the virtue signaling of the 00's is too racist by today's standard.
If you're playing with young players, they might not even be afraid to play out race, but instead been so beaten that they don't even think that it's a conflict that you can have.
@MikeMillz34 Because we let them.
They boiled this frog for decades.
Everyone slept and let it gradually get to this point.
Now everything is ugly.
And everyone acts surprised.
This is how it started in the west, too.
And everyone brushed it off as "not a big deal" in the west, too.
It will get as bad as the west eventually.
We are sitting at the bottom of the slippery slope. Watching the Japanese at the top, rolling down while smugly laughing at how low we are.
@IamTheEagleHTM It's a trick.
By answering "We actually don't hate women" you agree to their hidden claim.
That you aren't allowed to hate a game for an "incorrect" reason.
It's not your job to justify your hatred.
It's the industry's job to cater to your wants.
It is effective because it distracts you feom the issue.
It's actually working.
They say something obviouslt wrong, like "you hate it when you have to play as a female"
And instead of focusing on the issue, everyone jumps to prove that they don't have a problem with female characters.
It doesn't matter.
Let's pretend for a moment that you do have a problem with it. So what? What does it mean?
It neans that the gaming company made something that you hate.
The reason doesn't matter.
The SJWs made a hidden assumption that you "have to" play as a female character.
And by focusing on the fact that you don't actually have an issue with females, you accept their hidden assumption. That it is something that you have to do.
This is why SBI is called SBI. They treat woke propaganda like its vegetables that you have to eat without making a fuss.
They made it so that a video game isn't a luxury entertainment. That the default isn't you ignoring it.
They made it so that if you don't like it, then it's your fault.
They made you argue that you are a good guy that likes women, instead of arguing that you are a customer that you choose to stop buying whatever it is that you please, for whatever reason you feel like it.
Correct with one exception.
“If you notice someone is attractive, you’re a creep until proven innocent” was there in 2005 as well.
It just took a while for the mind virus to spread.
This post is what happens when you are born into this upside down world, instead of havign to adapt to it after growing in a normal world
I would be more worried about people shouting "woke" at everything if they weren't so very often correct.
I am more worried about people not going hard enough against woke.
Companies might decide to go back to hiding their extremly obvious agenda, and people would just go back to sleep.
