📺 "We're going to have to ask the multi-millionaires, the billionaires, to pay modestly more in tax."
@AdrianRamsay lays out our vision for a fairer economy on #BBCLauraK
BBC Verify has looked into Green plans for a tax on the super rich to pay for our broken public services, and the result: "Economically credible".
✅ We CAN make different choices for a fairer tax system that funds a better society!
There is a new, highly profitable asset class in England, traded between corporations, whose units are each worth £100,000 on the books. What are these units? Children in care.
An almost unbelievable story. But all too real.

I don't like to say it, but it does feel like a David vs. Goliath-type battle.
The people of a town are trying to protect their much-loved and iconic avenue of trees. They are up against big business and the council - elected by the people.
Thank you so much @adamrwildlife and Kettering Nature Group. He did so well today and hearing how much pressure he was feeling makes his appearance even more outstanding. Thank you so much for standing up for the wildlife at the meadow. 👏👏👏
1/ Planning inquiry for Weekley Hall Wood has begun this morning. Buccleuch Property - which wants to build 6 large buildings on the much loved green space - has brought the appeal after it says North Northamptonshire Council failed to determine the application in the statutory timescales.

Some of the people that came along to our family fun day in the wood today.
We hold one every school holiday to get kids out and playing in nature.
If warehouses are built on the meadow a few metres away this space will be ruined forever.

I'm speechless.
Sunak is throwing the entire country and future liveability of our planet under a bus to chase a few votes from climate delayers.
And he doesn't care about the consequences - higher energy bills, colder homes, fewer jobs, more dirty air and more climate chaos.
Rishi Sunak's statement on #netzero feels like a punch in the stomach. He's lied to the public. He's dodging scrutiny. He's trashing our children's futures. Enough is enough. He's not fit to govern. He simply has to go.
People who complain about sensible speed limits are like the people who complained about drink driving laws.
This is about saving lives.
