Si hace un par de años dije que, de ser presidente de México, mis aliados serían Estados Unidos e Israel, quiero decir algo con total claridad:

Si van a juzgarme, háganlo por cómo pienso hoy, no por lo que dije en el pasado. Todas las personas tenemos la capacidad de aprender, de crecer y de cambiar. Hoy estoy llamado a corregir.

Aquí voy: reconozco con humildad que no sabía realmente lo que estaba diciendo en aquel momento en relación con el Estado moderno de Israel.
Cuando uno habla desde la ignorancia, puede llegar a decir cosas que no reflejan una comprensión profunda de la realidad.

Y para dejar claro cómo pienso hoy:

México debe actuar como una nación soberana, libre y digna. No subordinada a ninguna potencia, pero sí capaz de construir alianzas estratégicas cuando convenga al bien de su pueblo.

Con Estados Unidos, nuestra relación es natural e inevitable, somos vecinos, socios comerciales y, en muchos sentidos, pueblos profundamente entrelazados. Debemos fortalecer esa relación, pero con respeto mutuo, orden y dignidad.

México no debe ser un país sometido,
pero tampoco uno aislado. Debe ser un país fuerte, que coopera sin perder su identidad, que dialoga sin renunciar a sus principios, y que defiende siempre el interés de su gente.

Nuestra política exterior debe estar guiada por tres principios claros:
la dignidad humana, la soberanía nacional y el bien común.

En relación a ser aliado de Israel: Jamás sería aliado de un régimen sionista genocida liderado por un criminal como Benjamín Netanyahu.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
