🚨 BOOKMARK THIS clip for the next time someone tells you “Brexit was never properly implemented”.
Nigel Farage on Question Time in 2016 explaining what Brexit would actually mean.
End EU free movement. ✅
Britain controls who comes here. ✅
Australian-style immigration system. ✅
Open Britain to people from the Commonwealth and elsewhere rather than preferential EU migration. ✅
He said this would relieve pressure on GPs, schools and housing and improve our quality of life.
Brexit happened. Those immigration powers came back to Westminster. Migration subsequently shifted dramatically from Europe towards the rest of the world.
You can’t simultaneously claim Brexit wasn’t implemented and complain about the consequences of the immigration system Brexit enabled.
👀 The question isn’t whether Brexit was implemented. It’s whether what Farage promised Brexit would achieve actually worked.

Your reminder that key Conservatives who campaigned for his release include Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, James Cleverly and Ian Duncan Smith
Oh, and his citizenship was approved when Priti Patel was in charge of the Home Office
While Labour picked up the baton and carried on to help secure his release, never forget that it's the Conservative party who initiated the process for his release, which today is criticising his release, even though they stared the process for it

“In 2017 there was not a single asylum seeker who arrived on a boat. Today we have 46,000 a year and do you know why? It was because of the botched Brexit deal pushed through by Boris Johnson and championed by Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage should be here apologising”
