The San Diego Padres welcome their new owners to town, and their welcoming gift is a disappearing offense.
The Padres lose again, 1-0 to the Pittsburgh Pirates, and have now scored just two runs in 21 innings since the sale of the team.
Strange that this stacked team is probably only going to have big October success if their starting pitching absolutely dominates other extremely talented and hungry teams into submission, and the staff goes on another insane sub 3.00 ERA run in the playoffs.
Scoring against the Rockies and Pirates is great, but if your top guys canโt come thru in games against other top teams it doesnโt really matter. Freeman and Betts just inexcusably bad tonight.
@KevinHe57306966@SpitefulBanette@TGreenhutOD This Dodgers TV deal is like 13 years old. Why are people posting about it like they just uncovered some deep conspiracy? I thought everyone knew about it? But now it's a problem because we are winning chips lmao ๐คฃโ๐ผ
That offensive performance would be a lot less concerning if it was an outlier and not a continuation of what theyโve done for the last 2 months outside of the last week where they played awful teams. Lots of terrible at-bats that game, and theyโve had a lot of those since June
Dodgers had a runner on third with zero outs
Heart of the order coming up
Couldnโt deliver
Tough night for the offense in a game that was right there for the taking
