Going back to the Word means study.
Study takes time.
Study takes work.
That's why there's a whole cottage industry of trusting your emotions, impulses, and internal monlogue as "the voice of God."
It's just easier.
Saves time.
Feels cool.
Less work.
We probably get more theology proper from the Psalms than from anywhere else. This is one of the reasons that they are the best thing for Christians to sing.

Bernard Hill gave me this. He gave us all this. A treasure of a performance that captured my heart as a child and still captures it to this day.

Godspeed, Bernard Hill. Folks will be sharing memories of his various roles today, but for me, Théoden King stands alone - a standout performance in a film series full of standout performances.
