I was under the impression that police officers are allowed to kick someone if they are trying to disarm someone who has a weapon & is refusing to relinquish it. I'm pretty sure that head-kicking is not standard procedure against unarmed men who are already on the ground.

HENRY NOWAKS KILLER FILMED BRANDISHING AIR PISTOL IN VIDEO YEARS BEFORE STABBING TEEN TO DEATH

Weapons obsessed killer Vickrum Digwa was caught on camera in October 2022 in Southampton resting a large air pistol on his shoulder while another man fired an airgun at a wooden board with three loud snaps heard by neighbours.

The ex neighbour reported the family to police over the really loud noises but officers said they could not do anything and no action was taken at the time.

Hampshire Police later discovered the exact air pistol during a search of Digwas family home immediately after the December 2025 murder of 18 year old Henry Nowak who was stabbed five times.

Digwa aged 21 at the time of sentencing was described in court as having a full weapons obsession and was jailed for 21 years on 2 June 2026 at the Old Bailey.

The 2022 video emerged as evidence of his long standing interest in guns with an ex Met detective stating police should have visited the home because you cannot tell if a firearm is legal without examining it.

The case highlights repeated warnings over air pistols which are classed as firearms if they exceed one joule of muzzle energy and require a certificate yet Digwa faced no charges until after the fatal stabbing.
