Spoke to @FrancoisF24 at @France24_en on the BAPS temple in Paris, the controversy surrounding the removal of women statues at the Eiffel Tower, and serious questions that have to be raised about the involvement of both the French and Indian governments in this scandal.

The important questions that must be asked are:
- How was this land was allocated to BAPS in the first place?
- Why was the Indian embassy and the Indian ambassador actively involved in the promotion of its inauguration?
- Why did the Prime Minister deliver a celebratory address while students were being pulled out of rubble in Delhi?
- How has a private limited company been able to funnel tens of millions of euros, according to its own claims, into the construction of this temple?

We must speak in one voice against the racist appropriation of this controversy towards electoral ends in France. However, that should not stop us from asking difficult questions, either in Paris or in New Delhi.
