Contrary to claims, people are NOT constantly going missing from the Foundation.

According to the Tamil Nadu Police’s own report, in the last 30 years of the foundation’s functioning, and among over 75 million visitors who have come to the Isha Yoga Center, only 6 cases of missing people have been reported.

Five of the six missing person cases have been closed by the police because the individuals were found safe and well.

There is only one open case of a missing person, which was in fact filed by the Foundation itself. The person, who stepped outside the Isha Yoga Center, was unreachable after a few hours of absence. The Foundation immediately approached the police and informed the family. The Foundation continues to follow up and work with the police and hopes for the individual’s safe return.

Why only hindu sanyasis ( monks) face this kind of social humiliation and prejudice. Just few years ago two sadhus were stoned to death in Maharashtra just because they were sadhus, now these two brahmacharini are questioned and judged for their choices and its been a decade since they are trying to explain why they chose the path of sanyas but it seems no one wants to listen to them.
