@rumpfshaker I lived in Key West in the late 90s. The safest places I went were gay bars. Friendly, protective, and fun. The alternative not so much. I was always made to feel unsafe.

@Keysfins @mass_ave In 1986, I sailed from Tavernier to New York Harbor. It was a grand celebration for the reunveiling of the Statue of Liberty. Tall ships from many countries, the Kennedy aircraft carrier and 5000+ boats anchored off of Ms. Liberty 🗽 It was AMAZING. I remember OPSAIL too.
