The chat is characterised by requests for money or favours by Mr Rafadi. He makes repeated requests for assistance with petrol and other help. As we will see as we go through the chats, Mr Rafadi returns the favours by contributing to a media narrative that suits Mr Matlala regarding the PKTT.

• On 18 December 2024 – Mr Rafadi requests petrol.
• On 22 December 2024 – Mr Rafadi requests rent money.
• On 3 January 2025 – Mr Rafadi appears to be offering mobile phone numbers for sale to Mr Matlala.
