Yesterday, I was notified of the 50th death in ICE custody since Trump returned to office.
This is unprecedented and further proof that ICE and their private, for-profit prison contractors should not be sent another cent of taxpayer dollars. There must be accountability.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
This isn't about one slush fund or one president. I've introduced legislation to stop any president from using taxpayer money to bankroll their political allies and score a family sweeping Super Pardon.
Congress must act urgently to ban these ripoff schemes and collusive 'settlements.'
Acting AG Todd Blanche—formerly Donald Trump's personal lawyer—signed an order blocking the IRS from investigating the President, his family, and his businesses.
This may be valued at over $100 million.
I have a bill to stop this corruption.
Protests in Albania are exploding for a seventh straight day like nothing before.
Thousands of Albanians are refusing to surrender their land to Jared Kushner’s elite private island wish.
They are also demanding the immediate removal of their prime minister for colluding with Jared Kushner and Israel.
"Albania is not for sale."
Not enough people know that the DOJ is keeping the part of Trump's IRS settlement in place that shields Trump and his family from IRS audits.
That's *extraordinarily* corrupt. Don't let it fly under the radar. https://t.co/4I2ovkLZQq
BREAKING: Rep. Pat Ryan just got the House Armed Services Committee UNANIMOUSLY to force Pete Hegseth to explain every senior military firing within the next 5 days. Hegseth has fired 24+ officers without cause or explanation. Even Republicans want answers.
Yesterday I told you the government is pulling 900 ocean monitoring instruments out of the water.
Here is the part that should make every American angry, regardless of where you stand on climate.
Congress voted to fund this network. Not once. Twice. The Trump administration proposed cutting it by 80 percent in 2025. Congress restored the money. Proposed the same cut in 2026. Congress restored the money again.
So the administration labeled it a "descope" and ordered the instruments pulled anyway.
That is not a budget disagreement. That is an executive branch telling the legislative branch that its votes do not matter. The public paid for this infrastructure. Congress protected it. One office in Washington decided the public should not have it.
This is the pattern I document in 𝑾𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒅 𝑮𝒖𝒚𝒔. It is not about left or right. It is about who decides what Americans are allowed to know about their own planet.
Who should make that call?
I stood at this pool, at both monuments and saw both reflections…
He’s a God damn idiot, as are the fools that support him. The “Reflection Pool” wasn’t designed by American architect Henry Bacon a hundred years ago to look like a swimming pool. It’s designed to have a darkened characteristics that has reflective qualities to reflect the monuments.
That way, the Washington Monument is reflective to you when at the Lincoln Memorial, and when at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial is reflective to you.
It’s designed to enhance the grandeur of monuments, create an illusion of reflection, and inclusion of expansive space of unity.
He’s a tacky vulgar person that vulgarizes everything he touches. America isn’t becoming great, it’s becoming vulgar.

Rubio once again complains US-led negotiations between Ukraine and Russia were "unfruitful":
"We invested tremendous amount of high-level time in that conflict over last year. Neither side is prepared to make concessions necessary to reach agreement."
Once again, it is necessary to point out the obvious: when you have a nation trying to murder its neighbors to steal their land, and people just trying to survive, there is no middle ground.
Ukrainians, as the victims of this unprovoked attack, cannot just agree to die under Russian occupation, rot in FSB torture chambers, and be thrown into unmarked mass graves to never be found.
We simply want to live. There is zero room for concessions. As for Russia, they can be forced to stop killing us.
You could bring them to that breaking point much faster than we can do without you, if you finally stopped this disgusting bothsidesism, stopped endless sanctions waivers, seized their shadow fleet, and armed Ukraine to the teeth.
Trump, Musk and Rubio slashed aid and scoffed that it was woke nonsense. Now they're seeing that it not only saved one life every 10 seconds but also protected us from diseases like Ebola. Their actions constituted a security failure as well as a moral one.
More broadly, their fecklessness contrasts with the courage and humanity of doctors and aid workers in Congo and Uganda, lacking adequate PPE but still risking the virus to care for fellow humans.
Trump, Musk and Rubio might learn something from them. https://t.co/kPKj7fqJFZ
Senate Republicans just started a marathon voting session known as vote-a-rama in the Senate.
Not to improve your life. Not to lower your costs. But to funnel $70 billion more to ICE and the abuses I saw at Delaney Hall.
Not another dime.
Rep. Keating to Rubio: "Now on Iran. Trump administration issued general license to Russia, providing billions in oil profits every month — several billion every month — fueling Putin's war machine.
You didn't mention that in your opening remarks. Russia is waging war of aggression against Ukraine, and we gave them our license agreement.
And we do this to Ukraine, a country that's assisting us in Iran, while we are helping Russia fund its war machine — a country that is aiding Iran against us and putting our service members in jeopardy."
@SenJeffMerkley ICE/DHS funding has been a slush fund since the day Trump took office. Intended for funneling money to his cabinet and friends through private contracts, overpricing real estate, and excess wages for his private army
We're seeing a revolving door between ICE and the private prison industry. The new head of ICE is a former VP at GeoGroup, the company that runs over a dozen detention centers, including Delaney Hall. This is corruption using taxpayer dollars, and we need to stop it.
🚨 The House just voted 218-204 to move forward on the discharge petition to provide military aid to Ukraine and impose tough sanctions on Russia. The House will vote on final passage tomorrow. This is our Churchill moment and we must pass the test.
New Jersey's state attorney general has filed a lawsuit against the operators of the Delaney immigration facility
The suit requests court grant New Jersey Department of Health full access to facility, amid complaints of inhumane and unsanitary conditions for detainees
Rep. Olszewski to Marco Rubio: "I may have to get you a new pair of glasses because the facts are right in front of you, and it seems like malpractice for the Secretary of State to not be able to see this president and his family enriching themselves by billions of dollars."
“The most brazen abuse of power ever.”
SEN. @RonWyden grills @SecScottBessent on Trump giving himself and his family immunity to cheat on their taxes. A “scam” and an admission of guilt.
