3. Convenient Narrative Building: The decision to report such claims without concrete evidence seems to align with the agenda of Chief Minister Biren Singh and Republic's Arnab Goswami. Both have been vocal in attempting to create a link between the Kukis of Manipur and the Kukis in Myanmar. This report appears to further that narrative without providing any substantial proof, suggesting a biased attempt to malign the Kukis.

4. Suspicious Arrestsl: Intelligence inputs allegedly led to the arrest of an individual accused of conducting recce for arms smuggling. However, the person had no weapons, and language barriers might have played a role in miscommunication. Arrests based on circumstantial or flimsy evidence without any significant findings only weaken the credibility of the intelligence and the report.
