They initially attempted to build criminal charges against General Khumalo and the PKTT. When that approach failed, they instead obstructed them by delaying or denying General Mandondo’s security clearance. Throughout this period their real goal was the complete removal of the PKTT.
Senzo Mchunu then entered the picture and submitted affidavits aimed at ensuring that IDAC would keep harassing the unit. After all those efforts collapsed, Mchunu simply ordered the disbandment of the PKTT.
That sequence of events is why the Madlanga Commission was established the public now wants to know what is contained in the 121 dockets that once belonged to General Mkhwanazi.
