At the launch of the CARICOM–UNDP Diagnostic Document and Action Framework on Thursday, 21 May, in Basseterre, St Kitts, the Honourable Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and Chair of CARICOM, reminded us that tackling crime and violence requires more than science; it demands leadership and societal commitment to prevention.
With CARICOM and the UN now united behind a public health approach to crime and violence, Dr Drew’s message is clear: political will + prevention = safer, stronger Caribbean communities.
