Sikhs should take control of police stations, tehsils, blocks, districts, and other government departments across the region. It is time to take control of the power and implement policies that will help them build a prosperous country Khalistan. For decades, decisions affecting daily life, security, land, and resources have been made far from the people who live under them. Local control would allow Sikh communities to set priorities that match their needs, protect rights, and direct development toward agriculture, education, and fair administration. By holding authority at every level, from the nearest police post to the district office, they can shape rules that foster stability and growth. This step is presented as the practical path toward a self-reliant future in which the community governs its own institutions and builds lasting prosperity.

We stand for justice for Parvinder Singh and Punjab’s youth. Drugs, fear and political change within the same system are not the answer. We call for Punjab’s sovereignty and self-determination, so its people can shape their own future.

FBI issues “Duty to Warn” to American-Canadian Khalistan lawyer Pannun over imminent threat to life
RCMP also warned Pannun of threats to his life and Ontario residence in recent weeks, as Carney government advances trade agreement with Modi’s India
Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a dual American-Canadian citizen and human rights lawyer, received a “Duty to Warn” from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on October 15, citing an imminent threat to his life, particularly in connection with travel from the United States to Canada to participate in the October 18 Khalistan Referendum in Edmonton, Alberta.
The FBI warning follows recent warnings by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) concerning threats to Pannun’s life and specifically to his residence in Ontario.
The latest security warnings by RCMP and FBI coincide with the Carney government’s decision to advance a trade agreement with India, raising questions about Canada’s approach to relations with the Modi government while Canadian Khalistan Referendum activists continue to face death threats.
Prime Ministers Mark Carney and Narendra Modi reaffirmed their commitment on October 13 to advancing a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), alongside bilateral security cooperation.
Pannun questions Carney government’s trade agreement with India
Responding to the continuing threats and Canada’s advancing trade relationship with India, Pannun stated:
“The Carney government’s decision to move forward with a trade agreement and security cooperation with the Modi regime raises a fundamental contradiction: How can Canada claim progress on security cooperation with India while assassination threats against Khalistan Referendum activists continue on Canadian soil?
“On one side, the RCMP is warning Khalistan referendum activists of threats to their lives and homes. On the other, the Carney government is advancing trade and security cooperation with the very Modi regime behind the assassinations and ongoing death threats.”
“What has changed — has the Modi regime stopped its assassination operations in Canada, or has the Carney government changed its approach to confronting them?”
Pannun responds to FBI warning:
“Either Independence of Punjab or Death — nothing in between.”
“The Modi regime may succeed in killing me. I may not live to see Khalistan, but I am determined that the next generation of Sikhs will live in a free Punjab — not under Indian occupation.”
“The question is not whether Pannun survives another assassination plot. The question is whether the Sikh people’s right to self-determination can be stopped through assassination threats. It cannot.”
“On October 18, Edmonton will write another chapter in the peaceful struggle for Punjab’s liberation from Indian occupation. Modi’s bullets may kill Pannun, but they cannot erase a ballot already cast.”
— Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, General Counsel, Sikhs For Justice
RCMP warnings to Khalistan Referendum organizers in Canada
In August 2026, the RCMP issued “Duty to Warn” notifications to three prominent Khalistan Referendum organizers: Inderjeet Singh Gosal in Ontario, and Manjinder Singh and Narinder Singh Randhawa in British Columbia.
On October 7, the RCMP also issued a threat-to-life warning to Avtar Singh Pannu, an American Khalistan Referendum coordinator visiting Edmonton to organize the October 18 vote.
The warnings come against the backdrop of the June 2023 assassination of Canadian Sikh leader Shaheed Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, and the U.S. Department of Justice’s criminal case concerning an alleged Indian government-directed assassination plot targeting Pannun in New York.
