At 17 years old, youngest ever to win the Candidates Tournament!

Gukesh finishes the Candidates Tournament 2024 with a draw against Hikaru Nakamura with the Black pieces! Gukesh has 9/14 points right now, with the game between Ian Nepomniachtchi and Fabiano Caruana still going on.

Hikaru tried hard from the get-go for a position where all 3 results are possible. Gukesh defended patiently, the Queens were exchanged after some point, and the game ended in a draw with just the Kings on the board.

If Fabiano Caruana or Ian Nepomniachtchi win, they join Gukesh in the lead and there will be tiebreaks tomorrow. If the game ends in a draw, Gukesh becomes the Champion of Candidates Tournament 2024!
