We are so good man
And everyone on this app know how much I rate thibu .. to me he’s the GOat
But having lunin in goal will make us significantly better in possession
Arbeloa is the truth
They weren’t in direct competition. Llorente was straight up gunning for Casemiro’s position; even started a season as the starting DM when Casemiro was injured. It was either him or Casemiro, and he couldn’t wait because Casemiro was almost impossible to displace.
Fede was more versatile even early on. He was an option for Casemiro, but also Modric. He could get minutes playing a number of roles, unlike Llorente. He was also less ready compared to Llorente.
I got so angry when I saw Alonso revisionism when Arbeloa dropped points in back to back games
We never had 3 straight good games under Alonso
We were Mbappe inshallah
Even Arda guler now is better !!! He plays more for the team
Real Madrid have lacked the mental fortitude to compete against Atletico in LaLiga for years now. Last win at the Bernabeu was in 2021, embarrassing, to say the least. Atletico have started the derbies as favorites regardless of the context of the season in the recent years, exclusively in LaLiga. It is not surprising how they are unbothered by Madrid's slow build up, they like that, they want that.
Real Madrid's missed chances cannot be used to sympathize with them. It's not to your credit that you can't put away chances in these kinds of games. Players simply looking to finish a boring day at work and join their national teams.
The problem for Real Madrid is they are doing a bit of high pressing.
They are a bit pregnant as Ralf Rangnick said.
And it has been a problem for a while no matter who was the coach.
Only Alonso at the start of the season showed what a good pressing RMA might look.
It's a personel issue starting from the front line and the impact gets accumulated as the opposition progresses.
And actually I find it baffling why the players cannot understand the advantages of a good high press.
A good high press means a high chance to cut the ball off near the box and turn over->a high chance to score because the opposition needs time to re-organise-> a high chance for the likes of Mbappé & Vinicius Jr to rack up numbers.
Also, with a good high press, you have the chance to sustain attacks, play more with the ball and keep the danger far away from your zones.
