Understand one thing about forgiving $10,000 in student loans. I went to community college and a state college for my BS worked two jobs had no family help and only took out $28,000 in loans. Due to the high interest rates I have payed the principal and still owe $14,000.

Because clearly it still needs to be said: Student loan forgiveness is not about irresponsible people taking out education loans and then not paying. These are compounding interest loans: borrowers are struggling because they pay many times OVER what they borrowed and still owe!

@LarryHogan @GovLarryHogan Yeah but, I went to school in-state in Maryland as affordable as possible, working two jobs including work study and graduated into the recession. $10,000 will only cover the interest the government has gotten from me. I’m still paying back what I borrowed. I think that’s fair.
