we realized as adult women who have an estranged relationship with our mothers…

we were literally CONDITIONED from a very young age to stick around toxic environments and see it as love. We were 12-18. How does one know better at that age when it’s quite literally all they’ve known???

glad I had the privilege to leave those environments and discover other ways of living and connecting with people. sometimes it takes others much longer.
