@FI_InvestIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw Because, due to high demand the seat was apparently not available, but railways did a favour of allowing to sit HALF and travel, so they charge what they charge.
Hope that answers..๐
A girl had booked a 2AC train ticket for her journey
The ticket fare was โน1,645,
but hoping to improve her travel security,
she paid an extra โน989 for the advertised "3X Refund" benefit.
She assumed that if the ticket did not get confirmed,
she would receive a refund worth three times the amount.
However, when the ticket remained unconfirmed and was eventually cancelled,
she found that only the โน1,645 ticket fare was being refunded in cash,
while a large portion of the promised "3X Refund" was being offered as coupons with conditions attached.
That's when the question arose
If the 2AC ticket wasn't confirmed,
the journey never happened,
and most of the "3X Refund" benefit comes in the form of coupons rather than actual cash,
then what was the point of paying an extra โน989 ?
The advertisement makes it sound like you will get three times your money back
if the ticket does not get confirmed, but the reality seems quite different.
Sometimes, the most important part of an offer is not the bold headline,
it's the fine print hidden in the terms and conditions.
Do you think offers like "3X Refund" are genuinely useful,
or can they be misleading for customers ?
