We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Stefan Wright 🔴⚪️

“My decision to Join Welling United was an easy one, I’ve always been located close to Welling, a huge club in south London and a team I saw myself easily being a part of,” said Stefan.

“The status of the club speaks for itself, but what truly sold it to me was the project and the vision for the future here.

“After meeting with Ryan and speaking to him on the phone, along with Howard, I had to drop all other offers, I was sold instantly, his passion, desire and hard work embodies everything I believe it, I was completely sold on the direction we are heading.

“He is a manager who is very similar to me, and exactly the kind of person I want to play for. I’m excited to be part of what’s being built at Park View Road. I can’t wait to meet the players, some I already know.

“Lastly, the supporters, being part of a club that’s like a family is what I’m about. Welling seems to be a proper tight unit and a family. I can’t wait to get started!”

Manager Ryan Maxwell said, “Stefan is a player that no winger likes playing against he’s tenacious quick and full of energy!”

“He’s got a desire to succeed and was delighted to agree to be part of this club as he’s a south London lad. He’s got tools, one being an enormous throw! He’s a player who I believe can still improve and has the right attitude to do so!”
