I agree, it doesn't make sense.
We the British public are led to believe that the Russian oligarchy are the root of all evil,and our own oligarchy in the City of London are whiter than white.
I find that very hard to believe.
The truth must be far more nuanced than that.

This is very true, and its alarming.
These well-educated, well- to -do ladies are walking eyes wide open into a trap that will crush them. Luis Bunuel made a film, about a group of people who became trapped by their own good manners...I can't remember the name of it, but my forgetfulness serves the point:
We risk forgetting our true legacy as Europeans.
Women are susceptible to the 'exotic' more than men, who regard it with suspicion.

Perhaps the second best option would be to recruit them into the Army ( not invite them, recruit them on arrival ) , where they could at least be supervised and trained into something useful.
It might also act as a deterrent for the unwilling amongst them from coming here in the first place.

They have to train, and pass written exams.

In my view, this is a truly excellent departure from an almost comical failure of previous attempts to govern this country.
We've had the robber barons,
the greedy, inept kings and queens,

and now we have the means
to do something properly.
