Nothing but back-to-back historic wins for Hiati & Haitians! 🇭🇹 In a landmark moment for the nation's burgeoning film industry, Kidnapping Inc. has been chosen to represent Haiti at the 98th Academy Awards in the fiercely competitive Best International Feature Film category. The announcement, which sent ripples of excitement through the Haitian diaspora and global cinephiles alike, underscores the resilience of storytelling amid the country's ongoing challenges.

This selection by the Comité Ayiti Oscars isn't just a win for Kidnapping Inc., it's a beacon for Haitian cinema. As the country's fourth-ever submission (following entries in 2017, 2023, & an earlier 2025 bid that fell short), it arrives at a pivotal time.

Now, Kidnapping Inc. must first survive the Academy's shortlist cut on December 16 before vying for one of 5 nominations in January 2026.
