7-8-22 ππ Dad got a #KidneyTransplant! His deceased #donor has forever changed the course of Dad's life. We'll think about his gift every day! #DonateLife
Dad's issues went from mild to moderate concern. He's had a catheter for weeks with no Improvement. His blood pressure & blood sugar are both high. He's having stomach pains, the same as what he had weeks ago. Doc's going to hopefully try something else this week. #DonateLife
Happy Thanksgiving! Dad is doing a bit better, still in the hospital and has a buildup of fluid. He's expected to stay 3-4 more days. Hopefully will find out more tomorrow. He got to video chat with his Grandson today.

Update: Dad just called. He is heading back to the hospital. He was originally told it was his kidney, and left because the clinic was gonna see him Monday. He has fluid around his heart causing high blood pressure and dizziness. Turns out he's Septic. #Kidney#DonateLife
All summer, Dad had been doing well. Went fishing, took a cruise, hunting and seeing his grandson. Recently he had pain in the kidney area. He's in the ER today for an ultrasound and MRI, the doctor is concerned about rejection. Filtration rate dropped dramatically. #DonateLife
Dad's All Star Game Adventure! Booked hotel from 3rd party site, room was cancelled & given to locals who didn't have power. Then spent 2 nights sleeping at the airport because of the IT outage, flight was canceled. Helped treat a medical emergency who passed out in the airport.
@LBoogie1919 The loan is through Nelnet. It was taken out in my dad's name since my brother was just starting college and it's non transferable and non forgivable. So my brother walked away with a clean slate and left my dad to pick up the pieces.
@seadogsimi69 My dad said he was over 9 right after his transplant, which he actually didn't know until well after the transplant. He said about your time frame he dropped down 8.5
How are things with you now?
