We recently held a @polkadex council meeting to discuss several important matters, and I'd like to share the details. There were three main areas of focus: transitioning to the next level of decentralization, current and future development, and financials which should build value for our community

Before delving into what gets me most excited, let's address the next step in decentralization. In light of the recent #SEC action towards #uniswap, it's crucial to emphasize the importance of achieving a level of decentralization that authorities can't easily shut down. Our next transition aims to transform into more of a DAO, where governance votes govern everything from advertising champaigns, the next assets to add, to team funding.

Regarding development, significant progress has been made and will continue. Our main focus is integrating more trading pairs from other L1s, starting with $ETH #ERC20. Becoming a multi-chain DEX will unlock substantial value. However, this endeavor requires cooperation between wallets like #MetaMask, thorough security audits, and testing. We anticipate native #ETH integration within a few months.

Now, onto the exciting part: revenue, buybacks, and #staking. Our DEX collects fees from trades, which are deposited into treasury wallets requiring council votes to access. While several options have been proposed, none are active or voted on yet. Each trading pair accumulates fees in its respective asset, which we aim to leverage wisely. One of my unofficial proposals involves stacking and staking the collected $DOT, with half of the rewards compounding to offset DOT inflation, and the remainder allocated for various purposes such as covering #Coretime expenses, buying back $PDEX for burning, building liquidity, and funding team/devs. Other assets like $iBTC, $PHA, $ACA, etc., may also be sold to buy back #PDEX for burning or fund the aforementioned actions. As we prepare to add native $ETH and accumulate its fees, we'll brainstorm on how to allocate those, along with future assets.

Our goal is to deliver substantial value to $PDEX holders through these mechanisms. The most challenging part has been completed: the DEX is operational and functioning properly. As additional pairs are introduced and more users participate, we anticipate a more than linear increase in revenue. This, in turn, will progressively enhance value for the community.
