“I may speak the English Language better than the Chinese language, but I’ll never be an Englishman, not in a thousand generations.”
-Lee Kuan Yew (Founded Singapore)
2 rules of life.
1. Do not tell until you’ve crossed the finished line.
2. No matter how bad things are, you tell people you’re ok.
I’m superstitious always, of everything. In and out the markets. I dunno why but I started noticing from around 16 that when I was super hyped for something and I would start telling people beforehand, something would always go wrong. Even with people that wanted the best for me. Eventually I stopped doing it and things went smoother.
I believe in evil eyes and ears. Even from loving places like friends and family, which likely isn’t evil, but it comes from a place of worry, which is a counterpart of negative energy.
Close family will always worry about you.
It’s negative energy bound with love. Which in my opinion makes it more powerful.
When they’re checking up, it’s not to see if you’re doing bad, but there’s always the underlying thought for them that it could be something bad. Even in my worst of times, I would say I’m fine and weather the storm. If you make them worry, you plan the seed that spreads.
If you spread your problems, they amplify when other negative energy latches on.
If you spread your success, negative energy can quickly create a counterbalance and block what’s coming.
I’ve followed these rules religiously since a teen.
Maybe it’s all superstition, but these are my rules and they’ve worked. Maybe you’ve discovered the same. I don’t like tempting fate.
When you’re mentally optimised and things are going well, it’s best to create a personal bubble you stay within.
A constant state of positivity is the hardest state to attain, it’s easily broken. Even harder to bring back.
Don’t stop the flow with talking. Keep it flowing by doing.
