@ar0maniac@GammaEaglit They know Nintendo fans are big on double dipping and hyping up old ports
They're not gonna put it on Switch 2 until like late 2027/2028
@RoxanneTonight_ You cant define it because how one views and engages with art is subjective
You could argue any remake is souless because they're copying something that already exists instead of bringing a new artistic vision to life
I think the art of OG vs Reload really summarizes everything
@LonelyGoomba Genuinely they could never release another video game ever again and I'd still be a lifelong gamer.
I got hundreds of games on my backlog and hundreds more I'd be happy to replay.
@Lavi_BT@SkandiTV@lxvia98 Yeah exactly, they don't do that because they know gamers would lose their shit. Even if nothing about the price and content has changed.
@Lavi_BT@SkandiTV@lxvia98 In an alternate timeline where Smash Ultimate launched at $120, even if it included all the current DLC content available day 1, you think that would go over well?
@SkandiTV@lxvia98 If Nintendo launched MKW for $70 and it was a normal ass Mario Kart (no open world), then 6 months later they introduced the open world and p-switch missions as $10 DLC, perception of the game would be completely different.
@SkandiTV@lxvia98 Thing is gamers have proved that they will happily pay more than $60-70 for a game as long as they're being manipulated into it
Look at Smash Ultimate totalling $120 for the game + DLC content, not even including all the Mii costumes
You rarely see anyone complaining about it
@LonelyGoomba The closing of the PS3/Vita store is the real blow for me
I hope this makes emulator devs lock in and PS3/Vita emulation progresses faster, cuz right now it's still not very good
