Men need to understand that vulnerability isn’t easy for anyone. Baring your soul to another person doesn’t come naturally to most people. Some people have had more practice with it. You need to practice opening up with the smaller issues. Treat it like a skill you’re developing.
When my son was 4 months old, I discovered an app called Solid Starts (you can also find them on Instagram).
It was started by a mom whose son has numerous allergies and is run by a team of experts (MDs, NDs, speech and language pathologists) with the goal of introducing allergens and whole foods to babies early and safely.
Please check it out!
You guys are getting completely carried away here. Nothing he did was outside the expectations of safe emergency care when a facility is at capacity. And doctors should be able to express that fact without all this vitriol and condescension.
@yaa_aminu@yaron__zango he’s disliked because he doesn’t try to understand the problem from the perspective of the caregivers. he seems blind and deaf to the conditions they require to provide the best possible care and would rather put them on blast at any possible opportunity.
I hope everyone that was on about how the President’s directive was not adhered to watches this video.
No one was turned away. Patients were sent to other facilities.
Chairman of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr. Hammond Abeiku, says members remain on strike, citing inconsistencies in a second statement from the Ministry of Health despite assurances from the Ashanti Regional Minister.
He says the Association is awaiting the outcome of a meeting between the hospital board and the Health Minister before taking a final decision, noting that only in-patients and critical cases are being attended to while OPD services remain suspended.

I’m amazed at people who are addicted to consuming content that triggers them.
Can never be me. If the algorithm starts to move weird, I immediately start pushing the “not interested” and “show less content like this” buttons.
A CEO temporarily halts admissions to an overcrowded, overburdened Emergency ward. Redirects patients to nearby health centers and even sends his specialists to help cater for the patients in those hospitals. Then a health minister suspends such a CEO, what for? What’s his crime
The A&e was NOT shut down. To shut down means the place was closed and HCWs not attending to patients.
That did not happen.
There was a TEMPORARY HALT in the admission of new cases due to congestion and overcrowding. At that point, the best course of action was taken to allow the redistribution of patients to other facilities and decongest the A&E.
Later, admissions were restored
@AhenkanEnoch People perish from overcrowding, not screening. KATH’s unit is built for 37 but had 61 patients and 34 waiting. Pausing admissions for 24 hours to divert non-critical cases to peripheral hospitals is standard safety protocol to clear backlogs and save lives, not 'shutting down'.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Ocloo has won the Best Regional Minister Award at the 6th Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Awards.

The contrast is striking.
On one side, flooded streets, stranded commuters and residents counting their losses after the rains.
On the other, an awards night celebrating excellence in public service.
Who determines the winners? What benchmarks are used? And how is performance measured?
I’m genuinely curious.
This is equivalent to the e-levy cake situation in my books. So out of touch with reality.
The country is flooding and you’re awarding yourselves for, *checks notes* doing your job???
Will amy of the politicians agree to be nursed in a chair or on the floor if they were ill? Why then should that be the fate of the ordinary Ghanaian? We need to demand better for ourselves
