Let's be honest, we all knew it was going to be Kerry. The only question was Newbridge or Killarney. Newbridge it is. Nothing to lose, everything to gain so lets play with a bit of freedom and passion and see where it brings us.
@KildareFan2025 One of the best conversations on the current state of Kildare football I've heard. Everyone contributed great opinions. Really good listen of which I would agree on all points.
Every team in the draw Tuesday will be desperate for Kildare. That is how we are regarded. Only one set of players and management can prove them wrong. Nothing supporters or anyone else outside the group can do to help. Might be time to get off the ropes and prove everyone wrong
@Bob_axelrod The slow play is just unbelievable. Hasn't worked all year. Every other team plays with speed and directness. We've decided to try and bore the opposition into submission Watched Donegal today and they are playing a different sport than us.
Some may think it's harsh, but I think we are one of the poorest coached teams around. We have nothing about us. So many issues from January are still there. Kildare will go out of this year's championship without firing one bullet. A poor indictment of all involved.
One last post as I'm getting annoyed when I've tried to not let it get to me anymore. But if I hear a 4 year plan mentioned in any sentence ever again I'll set up a one man protest outside Hawkfield. Sort out the year two plan first.
@KyleHoulihan1@KildareFan2025 You've mentioned the poor Kildare support. This game is the perfect example of why. It's the same game we've watched for years. It's a nothing performance. No redeeming qualities. People won't pay money to watch it and never mind travelling across the Country.
Hanging in there but I don't understand the slowness in moving the ball. It's been the same all year and has not served us well. We also get a nose bleed when through on goal. Players refusing to take responsibility and having a shot themselves. Against the wind. Not looking good
Just look at this from the photographer Donal Harrison with the brilliant caption "when you score a huge goal, win Leinster and Nan slips you a sly 50 on the pitch". ๐ญ๐ญ
@darrenmcdonne14 I understand but we beat Westmeath in last years championship. Then Westmeath lost to Wicklow in the Tailteann cup. Sport isn't linear. It's all on the day and unfortunately Kildare lose too many close games.
Brilliant stuff from Westmeath. Huge congratulations. But Kildare have been beaten by the last two Leinster Champions in tight semi finals. The number one thing Kildare need to learn is how to win close games. So many sliding door moments.
