@CalvinKarpenko @J_amesp @antsteradams So many contingency plans look worryingly like dominoes at the moment. The risks of a hostile state setting off a cyber attack on our electrical grid soon after a No Deal Brexit must be significant and if it went on for 12+ hours it could waste all those stockpiles in freezers.
@J_amesp This is why using twitter unsettles me. They claim to have rules for behaviour and conduct but they are happy to host Trumpโs threats and bile, condoning it with their silence.
The hillside lines where the rivers run clearly marked by flourishing trees and foliage. Overhead, dramatic clouds sweep in with tonight's rain. Views along the roadside between Cairndow and Furnace. #argyll
A long dead tree column guarding one of the many ancient burial cairns in Kilmartin Glen, easily mistaken for a giant's walking stick! #argyll#neolithicsites
A few surprising sights in the evening light near Kilmartin. A mushroom atop a long gnarled tree stump, looking like a sorting hat on top of a spectral pig creature! #argyll@jk_rowling#strangethings
Given Osborne as Chancellor managed to offload the social security costs of free TV licences onto the BBC, one has to wonder who he would have bail out the banks as head of the IMF - the Red Cross?!
@DkWedgetail Hi David. re comments on latest DW Show podcast, hereโs a couple of Big Finish recommendations from their Short Trips range. "A Home From Home" has the 3rd Dr and Liz Shaw in the Scottish Highlands, and "A Full Life" is a very fine Adric story. Both may appeal.
The trouble is that Tory MP's project onto Boris what they want to see, just as so many voters project onto Brexit what they want to see. There is no substance to Boris or Brexit, it's all bluster, scapegoating and fuelling extreme emotion to obscure reason.
This little mystery has had remarkably little coverage this past week. Indeed, despite Farage being generously covered by broadcasters and the press, I don't recall a single mention of his inexplicable entry in the Mueller report.
.@Nigel_Farage - I just noticed quite the coincidence, and wondered if you'd like to comment. You get a namecheck in the Mueller report (see pic) due to a discussion between a US citizen and a UK citizen. (Everyone's seen this bit already.) (1/4)
@franceschild @BBCRadio4@OLivmorgan@GerdaStevenson8 @Fiona_MacNeil @neblibasani @Weekirstyw Just heard this on BBC Sounds. One of the best radio plays I've heard in years. And not just because its set so well here in Argyll! Very well done to all involved.
@J_amesp Hi James. Has anything happened about the statutory instrument today? Amidst the noise today, I haven't been able to track any progress on this.
@GuyDorrellEsq And also, although it is not an essential, buy in advance little birthday presents for those due in the months ahead. Preferably not electronic. Marking birthdays for our nearest and dearest keeps the spirits up even in dark times.
@BritOrBot @J_amesp Many will only see and hear the headline, but as with so much else it is disinformation designed to have turkeys vote for Christmas and blame the vegetarians for the outcome.
@J_amesp A bit like climate change, the warnings about Brexit keep falling on deaf ears. The project fear mantra has done the same job as the anti-vax lobby.
