Surprise! Now there's an apple you don't see every day....its called Hidden Crimson, for a good reason by the looks of it😄 Not ripe yet but we couldn't help taking a look after a 5 year wait since planting.
@ConlanDerek@CorkGourmetGuy Thanks Derek and Dave, most convenient is to order online on our shop if you can’t find it locally. We’ll be putting up the special editions in the new year and lots of mad casks in the waiting for 2025🥂
The Wild Winter Terrace at The River Lee hotel creates a
festive oasis, in collaboration with Killahora Orchards and Fox Flowers. @RiverleeHotel@Killahora#FoxFlowers https://t.co/GXOrDDjnQI
@ReluctantF00die Sorry to hear Sarah and Cathal ☹️ye had such great menus and for what it’s worth we appreciated your business. I really hope the environment starts to improve for restaurants and bars
The experimental section of the drinks cabinet, all of the drinks coming from common garden plants. And a rolling alcohol free fizz; a continuous wild ferment that is drank fizzy before the abv is above 0.5%. This one from wild water mint + frozen lime leaves🍃
The first pressings of the year are underway this week :-) Nice volume
of apples but the lack of sun has them a little light on sugar so far. We’ll see how they develop !
@DavidMarra@RossCider @Adam_HWells @whiskeychatspod@DKenni@thecowmanshow@BarMas@So_mmel_ier @vendemmiawine @64_Wine There is so much in terms of cider and perry ‘varietal discovery’ to be had from Ross-on-Wye; they grow and press so many single varietals that you can’t find anywhere else. The Flakey Bark is a rare Perry pear too - great one to have tasted!
Loving the setup at No.2 Point Road in Crosshaven, a coffee shop and pantry converted from the old terrace, and including a few familiar products amongst an excellently curated collection of items 😃🌞
@Cider_Review @BarMas The EU marketing standards people are trying to come to an EU consensus on definition of cider; what % of juice, where from, concentrate ? etc. the direction of travel is
‘At least 50% of juice’, but France at 99% hates it, & Sweden at 15% also hates it! So will be a challenge!
