CAREER UPDATE 🚨🚨 Sunday was my last game as Sacramento Kings play by play announcer. After 6 seasons on the job, my contract is not being renewed. I want to thank all the Kings fans and the people of Sacramento for making me feel welcome. 1/3
The Sacramento Kings are signing rookie center Dylan Cardwell to a four-year deal, agent Corey Marcum tells ESPN. The deal includes two fully guaranteed years. Cardwell has averaged 4.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 20 minutes this season.
The box score has never told the full story of Dylan Cardwell 👀
He left Auburn Men's Basketball as the winningest player in program history with three SEC rings and a Final Four run, yet 30 NBA teams still passed on him.
Big mistake.
After grinding in the G League, the call finally came in December.
With the Kings frontcourt shorthanded, Cardwell took over the energy of the entire rotation, and instantly became a fan favorite.
"In college I averaged 5 points per game, I rebounded the ball five times per game, I averaged like 1.6 blocks per game.
No one thought I was an NBA player. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm living my childhood dream.
This is a dream come true for me."
The results speak for themselves. He has now earned rotation minutes in nine straight games, giving the Kings a steady 5.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per night.
In a league obsessed with individual highlights, Cardwell has become the heartbeat of Sacramento by mastering the dirty work.
Remember the name, because Dylan Cardwell is proof that the grind always pays off 🙌
I'm starting to like Dylan Cardwell. Please give this a listen!

"We might not be having a great season, but this is the best locker room I've really been a part outside of my last year at Auburn. I really appreciate being on this team and being in this locker room"
Keon Ellis not being able to get minutes despite being the best player on the Kings for multiple years never ceases to amaze me
