Bill C-11 is set to become law as early as this evening, yet there is barely a peep from my fellow Canadians about the fact that the Trudeau Liberals, with the help of others, could soon turn the free and open internet into Cable TV 2.0.
Younger generations have no idea how restrictive and limiting it will be to have government controlling everything they watch or listen to because they have never lived under such conditions. Older generations who have, should've been vigorously defending the freedoms attained by having access to everything the internet has to offer.
However, as with so many other inherent Rights and Freedoms, most Canadians seem unwilling to defend them in any way. And so, it is another sad day for we liberty lovers in Canada.
