Eric Metaxas wrote a sloppy, even risible biography of Bonhoeffer. But the way he's taken the German theologian to sanctify/bless the candidacy of Donald Trump, a man of borderless corruption, is especially ugly. I'm thankful the Bonhoeffer family has spoken out.
One parent I talked to expressed concern that having students gather in a large group outside the school might make them vulnerable to someone with bad intent. Isn’t that what they are already fearful of, inside their school? Where do they feel safe?
My kids school in Dekalb Co had a great showing for this walkout last week. The last time I attended a walkout for gun reform was after the Parking shooting, in 2018. Since then, Ga has loosened gun laws.

To be told that trunp is annointed and protected by god, but not people like my brother, a man of faith and leader who served his country then died from cancer, is pernicious. To be told that from the Christian family that raised us feels idolatrous.
@michaelharriot I just said tonight, in a discussion about a potential “undecided” election, I would not be surprised if this SC found a way to manipulate it in favor of trunp.
Edda Fields-Black spoke about her book detailing the Combahee River Raid in lowcountry SC at the Atlanta History Center. Such courage and strength from Tubman and her guides. https://t.co/6PAy950vXT
Not sure I’ve seen any mention, but one of the worst moments in last night’s debate for me was trunps effort to politicize our military by claiming they all “hate” Biden. Vets are welcome to opinions, but it felt like undermining Biden’s role as Commander in Chief.
