@physics_math_me @OfficialLoganK@JuliaLanguage@JuliaConOrg Woohoo!!! Congratulations!! Wish you the best with the application and looking forward to hearing your talk!! 😄😄
Needless to say – WE ARE HIRING!!! If you are interested in building the future of computational neuroscience and psychiatry and helping patients with the most difficult-to-treat conditions, learn more at: https://t.co/fhUdNbgoAz
Big day! We are incredibly excited to announce our $27M Series A led by @generalcatalyst with participation from @cascapital. Next up: rapidly scale our computational biomarker discovery platform to address unmet need across neurology, psychiatry, and sleep medicine.
If you're looking to contribute to an Open Source Project (you're gonna hear me say this all month long), and you're interested in scientific computing, you can try out @JuliaLanguage. I wrote about the project here: https://t.co/9XfXawURHO
We had a discussion with our son about Orange Shirt Day and its significance. As much as I am incredibly happy to see how schools are teaching this generation of kids about Sept 30th, we need to extend these discussions & talk about self-determination/Indigenous sovereignty.
How does it feel to make generative art? Is it more like a creation, a discovery... or something else?
I asked on here recently and then wrote this article about the responses!

We’re honoured to present the Survivors' flag. Survivors from across Canada helped create this expression of commemoration, meant for communities and individuals to show their commitment to remembrance and hope for Reconciliation. #NationalTRW https://t.co/fBLjPFxGkE
Very pleased to share our latest preprint: Julia for Biologists
#julialang opens up new possibilities for biologists (computational and beyond) and we discuss how and why.

One of the things we highlight in this paper is why certain codes are able to outperform even JIT compiled codes in other languages. Why can the ODE solvers in #julialang#sciml even outperform Numba-accelerated SciPy calls? If you count the operations it becomes very clear.
In two weeks it's #OrangeShirtDay. We want to invite everyone across Turtle Island to join our friends at @Tkemlups at 2:15 pm PT to #DrumForTheChildren. After an especially difficult year, share and invite others to mark this day together. #EveryChildMatters.
@nassarhuda "Compare yourself to the person you would've been if you hadn't taken that courageous decision you took a little while ago -- that no one knows about."
I love that!! I've never heard that before
One of the best pieces of advice I got as a grad student:
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, a week ago, or a year ago. Compare yourself to the person you would've been if you hadn't taken that courageous decision you took a little while ago -- that no one knows about.
As an editor in two international journals, I have learnt four things:
1) that scholars from academically strong countries tend to write as if they were always revolutionizing the field; scholars from peripheral countries, as if they had to ask permission to speak.
