President Uhuru signed the Mining Act, 2016 into law, and that was the end of it!
This was vintage Uhuru, signing laws he never intended to implement.
The process of making the law was most contested, with National Assembly and Senate in constant disagreements since 2014.
It took nearly two years to overhaul the colonial mining law that was still in use.
The law which came out of the NA-Senate pipeline returned Kenya’s minerals to Kenyans —if only Kenyan leaders had the balls to implement it.
President @WilliamsRuto is a brick and mortar president.
His brief is to BUILD KENYA by implementing national laws without fear or favour; whether those to be feared are white capitalists still nursing colonial hangovers or their black appendages.
You notice there is only one region opposed to Kenya’s full independence. You tell them BATUK cannot operate as if we are a failed state, they go bonkers. You tell them Tata is operating as if Kenya’s mining laws are mere suggestions, they suck up to Tata.
This group must be defeated and consigned to the ash heap of history.
Kenya will never progress with the mentality of Central Kenya politicians who still are not aware that it’s 60 years after independence — there’s nothing to fear but fear itself!
Congratulations ODM EXPERT & Mining CS @HassanAliJoho ✌🏿💪🏾.
Congratulations H.E Daktari William Samoei Ruto✌🏿👏.
IRUNDUNI, THARAKA NITHI COUNTY, KENYA
SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 2026
The Government continues to pursue an equitable and inclusive development agenda that leaves no part of Kenya behind.
Roads, electricity, markets, health, education and other programmes are evenly distributed to propel Kenya to the new frontiers of progress.
Into the future, the vision to take Kenya from a third world to first world economic status is being crafted and the national conversation around the priorities for that vision will be launched next week.
Happy to report progress in an after lunch interaction with neighbours at Irunduni, Tharaka Nithi County.
From Athi River to town and back is about KSh 200. Let's even be generous and add KSh 100 for transport to the National Museum. That's KSh 300. Museum entry is KSh 100 per child, bringing the total to KSh 400. Now explain to me why the school is DEMANDING KSh 4,500. Are they planning to feed my child a five-star buffet worth KSh 4,100 at JW Marriott?
Or did the government quietly relocate the National Museum to Ol-Kalau during the campaign period? These Mikoras add the title “INTERNATIONAL” in schools name so as to solicit money from parents. Wacha waende tu hiyo museum yao ya matakataka, nitapeleka watoto wangu National park wakaone walimu wao juu ya miti wakikula ndizi. Chesaa!!!😒
@Egline_Samoei@SafaricomPLC You have never tried @AIRTEL_KE 5G unlimited. With only 2k you get unlimited 15mbps stong internet. Affordable and easy to install. He is very wise though
Our son is seated on the highest leadership table on Earth. Not through our online emotions or tweets, but by extreme hard work and exceptional focus. Majority of us are proud
One thing about Ruto is that no stage is too big for him. No challenge is greater. Nothing is inconceivable.
Always prepared. Give him the mic, and he will deliver.
No one has marketed Kenya so highly like Ruto.
Absolute defiance.
With fellow leaders on the third and final day of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, engaging in discussions on shared global priorities and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development, economic growth and international cooperation.
Glad to have met President William Ruto of Kenya.
India and Kenya share a longstanding partnership anchored in the aspirations of the Global South. We remain committed to working together for the well-being of our people.
@WilliamsRuto@G7
A memorable evening at La Source Vive, where four international artists and a children's choir came together for a stirring musical performance for Heads of Delegation and their spouses attending the G7+ Summit at the Évian Resort.
Set within the elegant atmosphere of the theatre and illuminated by the warmth of the evening, the performance transcended borders, reminding us of our shared humanity and the power of culture to bring people together.
